We talk about the great e-mail we got from listener, Val... Alanna's most recent trip to New York for the "Power to the Peaceful" workshop with Sharon Gannon, David Life and Michael Franti... Discuss the workshop as well as a class she had with Dharma Mittra and the session she had with her Sanskrit guru, Manorama. Kevin got blessed the day this was recorded by Amma Karunamai in Boulder, CO, so we talk about that experience. Also, we talk about a radio show on Tribeca Radio that had Alanna on as a guest when she was in New York. Finally we discuss how ridiculously expensive things seem, now, more than ever, when you find out that it only costs $1 to treat serious illnesses like polio in India, then wrap it up with a little bit more on An Inconvenient Truth.

This podcast is from late on the evening of Wednesday, June 14 2006. Recorded just before Alanna left for New York to attend a workshop led by Sharon Gannon, David Life and Michael Franti. We discuss that upcoming workshop and the fun plans Alanna has for her time in NY, the extreme heat of our 'recording studio,' our terrible turtle, some Australia updates,  get our friend Sarah in a little trouble, the Dalai Lama's upcoming visit, the Colorado Yoga Journal Conference, and finish up by complaining again about how hot it is.

This was a follow up to the podcast we recorded in the mountains. At the time, it was only a few days after we had released episode 4, but, alas, it's now a couple of weeks later and I'm just now getting it posted (K). We talk about the Get Motivated Seminar, cleaning house and just getting rid of 'stuff,' Alanna's big news about her JivaDiva Yoga Jams podcast, and her trip to Minneapolis.

Kevin and Alanna are on a get-away into the Colorado Rockies, staying at a friend's condo in Frisco enjoying the cooler temperatrues and beautiful scenery. Trying to take an Al Gore-inspired ecological trip into Breckenridge left them all wet, but they'll be back to take the bus another day, and the new blue streaks in her hair didn't wash away. Alanna's latest trip was to both Bogota, Colombia and NYC and she tells all about it. Highlights of NYC are nearly getting in an accident while in a cab and trying to walk away from the angry cabbie, the Apple Store opening, but, of course, the biggest thing is the new Jivamukti Yoga School that had its grand opening party. Our dear Ozzie friend Sarah now has a beautiful tattoo, but is still having trouble getting a visa to come visit us in the states for a year, so we're asking for any listener advice. Finally, we don't sing a song at the end.
